“Awakening: Beyond Belief”

“Don’t trust me. Don’t believe me. Try it for yourself.” We’ve all heard Ra’s words, but what does it really mean to move beyond belief and into a truly embodied Human Design journey? As teachers or guides, how do we support others in making this shift from concept into lived reality?

Human Design is a logical system, but Ra never meant it to be an object of belief. It is a living knowledge that points beyond its own concepts towards direct experience, to our fundamental relationship with our own form and our own truth.

In this presentation, I’ll explore what it means to live your design by embracing the wisdom of the BodyGraph: a movement from understanding into experience, from experience into trust, and from trust into awakening.

This is an invitation to explore the essence of the Human Design journey; how we enter it, how we experiment with it, and how we share it with others, both personally and professionally. Along the way, we weave understanding, experience, and meaning together in a way that may ultimately lead to Awakening: Beyond Belief.

Bio:

Since I was very young I’ve longed to find deeper meaning in life. Growing up in England, I quickly realized that the Tribal and Collective pathways I was “supposed” to follow didn’t fit me; I would have to find my own way. That inner pull led me East to India. I explored Taoism, Advaita Vedanta and Zen; for over a decade I was immersed in meditation — dedicated to awakening as myself in the heart of “the now”. I practiced Yoga and Tai Chi, made friends with the I Ching, and studied and worked with Astrology.

In 2006, I met my own Human Design. My experiment began. In 2009 I moved to Tasmania, Australia and became a father. My focus had
shifted to bridging inner truth with outer life, and Human Design offered the perfect language for that. Nearly a decade after being shown my design, I suddenly knew I needed formal training. I worked with different teachers, mentors and guides through IHDS, and began my certified professional work in 2017.

After completing IHDS Analyst Training in early 2021, I was invited to teach with Human Design America in 2022. With the support of the HDA team, I’ve evolved personally and professionally through their approach, which truly “puts the HUMAN back into Human Design.” The global landscape has changed since Ra Uru Hu gave us this knowledge, and sharing it now with awareness, compassion and respect for our true diversity feels more important than ever.

Human Design offers a personalized, practical map for changing our relationship with ourselves. As we embody the knowledge — moving from understanding to lived experience — we empower and surrender to our uniqueness. From there, who we are naturally extends outward into our relationships and beyond. This is how we change the world.
